All Signs Seem Clear, Watch for “Black Cats”- A Reading from the Book of Tarot for April 18, 2012

Two Tarot cards have been pulled to induce synchronicity. The intention is for you to watch for the consciousness they represent to be reflected in the events of your day. This practice known as Yoga of the West, is designed to build a bridge of intuition between the reader’s unconscious and conscious mind; a bridge to wholeness.

OOPH

The first card is an archetype card chosen according to the numerology of the day. Each archetype card in the Tarot represents a path on the Tree of Life (Kabbalah). Today is 04, 18, 2012, or number 18: The Moon.  The path 18 represents, The Moon, is shaded on the diagram included. The consciousness on this path, OOPH, is that of recognizing synchronicity as signs to follow for finding your way to wholeness.

In the image found on this archetype card there is a crayfish at the head of the path coming out of the water, this symbolizes re-inventing your self.. The Pillars of Wisdom dominate the background of this card.  These pillars repeat many times in Yoga of the West symbolism. Achieving conscious balance on all the paths is to find your way through these pillars to immortality. On this path, the way through the pillars is via the moon (knowing) which is dripping flaming symbols for the Hebrew letter Yod, “that from which all things come.”  Understanding, knowing that from which all things come is balanced by the domesticated and the wild sides of our animal nature as symbolized by the dogs on either side of the path. This balance is achieved with intuition and creative insights into material reality in the moment. Momentary insight that famed psychologist Carl Jung’s term Synchronicity. Synchronicity refers to the signs that appear, signs that only you recognize; be they events, symbols, or dreams, these signs confirm and or guide you. Wholeness on the path of the Moon is to pay attention to the signs “that from which all things come” synchronizes to show us the way.

The second card is a face card. Each face card in the Tarot represents an aspect of personality. There are four personality types: feeling (cups), thinking (swords), intuitive (wands) and sensate (pentacles). Each personality type has four levels of consciousness that correlate to maturity, or level of consciousness: page, knight, queen and king.  Who is highest consciousness, the King or the Page is in contention in the different cabals who study the Tree. Regardless, all of us, male and female, have the capacity to realize all of these aspects of personality and levels of consciousness. The paths of the Tree are four-dimensional. Each level of personality travels its own dimension on each path simultaneously.  A whole human being fully conscious realizes all levels of all personality types on all paths

Today’s face card, or aspect of personality to watch for is the Queen of Wands. Feminine mastery of this particular path emotional insights into synchronistic signs is fully realized in this aspect of personality.  Wands represent the intuitive personality type, associated with knowing and compassion.  This Queen of Intuition sits upon a throne with lions flying above her head and sitting at her feet. Lions symbolize fire (thinking) and strength. Her right hand holds a wand bursting with life, she “knows” the power to bring into form the aspects of life that are most important to us. In her left hand and also behind her we see sunflowers. These flowers always turn to the sun in real life and here they symbolize being in tune with the Light (the force of creation). Sunflowers represent life, fertility, joy and satisfaction. This Queen of creative power is wise, her cloak is clasped together with the face of an owl. However, the black cat at this Queen’s feet alerts us to the reality that there are energies at work that we may not be aware of and we need to be on the look out for. Wholeness for the Queen of Wands is found in strong knowing creative action taken with full awareness of all aspects of any given situation, especially the unseen aspects.

Two Tarot cards are profiled. These cards have been pulled to induce synchronicity. The intention is for you to watch for the consciousness they represent to be reflected in the events of your day. The first card is an archetype card chosen according to the numerology of the day. Each archetype card in the Tarot represents a path on the Tree of Life (Kabbalah). Today is 03, 3, 2012, or number 11: Justice. The path this card represents is shaded on the diagram included. The workings of the path this card represents, LAMED, are karmic.

Justice is the path of consequences. The figure on this card sits between the pillars of wisdom and a veil of ignorance hangs in the background. On this path we break through the veils of illusion or deception that harbor ignorance. The square on Justice’s crown represents well-ordered thoughts, law.  Her right hand holds a sword straight up in victory; she dispenses logical fair-minded justice. A sword is double-edged; it cuts both ways, signifying impartiality. The scales are in the figure’s left hand, the intuitive hand, telling us that logic is balanced by intuition. The clasp holding the figure’s robe is a square representing the law that is protecting the wholeness of us all, the circle within. Wholeness requires adherence to impartial karmic balance of the law, good or bad. Consequences must be accepted and harmonized in order for us to master this path. Achieving wholeness on the path of Justice requires breaking through the veils of ignorance with the realization that all is good.

Today’s face card, The Knight of Swords, is a random selection seeking the ideal aspect of personality to pay attention to in relation to today’s archetype. Watch for the personality aspects of the Knight of Swords; seek out righteous truth either within yourself or in someone else.

Swords (Fire) are the formation level: the thinking level on the paths. The Knight of Swords is someone who knows just what decisive action is needed to bring right creation and or events to form. This is the knight we all want to be around if we are in trouble, more important this is the knight we need inside ourselves making sure NO ONE takes advantage of us. This is the warrior energy at work, energy that every man, woman and child needs in order to be free. This is the aspect of our personality that refuses to be taken advantage of, refuses to be victimized. In card image, this knight’s energy is in full thrust against the wind, and he is pushing his horse to its’ limit. Nothing gets in this knight’s way.  The Knight of Swords knows and does what needs to be done to realize wholeness.

Solid Gold – A Reading from the Book of Tarot for March 2, 2012

Two Tarot cards have been pulled to practice the inducement of synchronicity. The intention is for you to watch for the consciousness these cards represent to be reflected in the events of your day. This practice, known as Yoga of the West, is designed to build a bridge of intuition between your unconscious and conscious mind; a bridge to wholeness.

 The first card is an archetype card chosen according to the numerology of the day. Each archetype card in the Tarot represents a path on the Tree of Life (Kabbalah). Today is 03, 2, 2012, or number 10: The Wheel of Fortune. The path this card represents is shaded on the diagram included. The conscious workings of the path this card represents, KAPH, are always viewed as positive.

The Wheel of Fortune spins, this path requires balance through change. Balance requires wisdom. Wisdom dominates the symbols on this card. It is seen in the color blue, the Sphinx and the Torah (Tora). Tora is spelled out in the outer ring of the wheel, mixed with IHVH, the unspeakable name of G__. The Four beasts of the Apocalypse are all reading the Tora.. In the top left is Aquarius, top right is Scorpio, Leo is in the bottom right and Taurus is in the bottom left. These fixed signs of the zodiac have wings signifying stability through change. The snake on the left side of the wheel symbolizes he life force descending into the material world. The snake’s head is traveling towards the feet of a red Anubis rising on the right side of the wheel, a sign of intelligence or wisdom ascending. The middle wheel contains the material world: alchemical symbols for mercury, sulfur, water and salt. The energy on this path of Wisdom balances work well done with the compassionate abundance of the Universe. Good fortune just is. The good that comes, goes just as easily, cherish and revel. The only thing we can be sure of in life and the wheel is change. Wholeness requires wise balance come what may on the wheel of material fortune.

Today’s face card, or aspect of personality to watch for is the Queen of Wands. Female emotional insights fully realized.

The Queen of Cups, the fully realized arechetype feeling female personality type. This Queen is associated with collective empathy, full understanding and alignment with the feelings of others. The Queen of Cups sits upon a throne perched on a golden shore, a sanctuary.  Water, a sea, (the symbol for feelings) swirls around her feet and it is impossible to tell where the water ends and her robe begins. The beautiful cup she holds is closed with handles shaped like angels. This indicates that the thoughts of the Queen originate from the unconscious, from the depths of her own soul. The throne upon which she sits is decorated with images of sea-nymphs, fish, and scallop shells. The sea and fish are additional symbols of the unconscious mind. This Queen is the master of divine inspiration. She is mother love, and the collective unconscious. This Queen is a seer.  Note the look of intense concentration almost anger in her expression as she stares at the cup in her right hand. The wonder of the muses and creative work that comes from the place this cup represents can never be explained. This cup conceals the final secret, not to be grasped by the ordinary mind, never to be revealed to the everyday consciousness: the force that is that from which all things come.  Wholeness for the Queen of Cups requires the ability to see with eyes beyond her own and still return to everyday consciousness with the polished gold that forms the solid grounded reality her throne sits upon.

Two cards are profiled. Each card represents a consciousness that corresponds to the highlighted paths on the Tree of Life (Kabbalah) diagrams included with this reading. The intention is for you to watch for the consciousness these cards symbolize to be reflected in the experiences and events of the day

 

The first card, Death, is an archetype card chosen according to the numerology of the day. Today is 02, 06, 2012 or 13: Death.  The second card, the Wheel of Fortune is a random draw seeking the ideal card to contemplate in relation to today’s current events.

“What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the butterfly calls the beginning.” Archetype Death is not death of our bodies, or an end to our life, per se. The consciousness on this path is the realization of immortality gained by letting all that doesn’t work die. The figure Death flies a black flag, empty of light, but emblazoned with a white rose for beauty, and purification. This is death to psychological patterns and behaviors. This death of old patterns brings us legitimate pain, but it also brings us regeneration. The King (ruling mode of operation) is dead. The Hierophant is pleading trying to hang on to traditional ways of thinking, but note, what he holds on to is black, without light.  The youth or female is looking away in avoidant refusal, but the child is eager and holding blooms. The sun is rising on a new day! And the pillars before the rising sun symbolize the Pillars of Wisdom. These pillars are the gateway to immortality. Death reminds us that endings are actually beginnings. Wholeness requires us to let what no longer works die. Wholeness requires us to accept death as we accept birth.

Again we have a recently contemplated card. The first card is an archetype card chosen according to the numerology of the day. Today is 02, 3, 2012, or number 10: The Wheel of Fortune which surfaced just a few days ago. No doubt volatile fortunes are at work all around us these days. The second card, the 9 of Swords, is a random draw seeking the ideal card to contemplate regarding current events today.

Today’s current event card is the 9 of Swords. The 9th card from each of the four suits in Tarot combine to form the 9th path in Yoga of the West. The 9^th path is our primary sensing of our unconscious.  It’s the path on which our sexual instinct, our creative instinct, is active. The 9 of Swords represents a state of great suffering. This is the aspect of the 9th path in which we stuff things we do not want to face or think about. Here we have overwhelming pain that blinds us from looking outside of ourselves. Wholeness requires that we feel pain, legitimate pain, for what it is: attachment. This figure is actually rooted in abundant beauty, as symbolized by the flowered quilt, if he/she would simply open his/her eyes to see it. Also on the quilt are the symbols for the 12 signs of the Zodiac. These signs symbolize the transient nature of pain, the reality that “this too shall pass.”  Wholeness requires opening our eyes and facing the pain, feeling the pain, accepting it, and seeing past it to all that we are connected to.
